WatchHRV: Watch HRV Trends
In development · iPhone

Your HRV. The bigger picture.

WatchHRV is being built to show how your heart rate variability changes over time, using compatible HRV readings already in the iPhone Health app. It's designed with Apple Watch users in mind, but an Apple Watch isn't required when compatible data is available.

ALL FEATURES ARE FREE. Use the app without an account. The free version will include only occasional, dismissible ads for other apps by the same developer. An optional subscription removes all ads and automatic signup reminders. No subscription is needed for app functionality.

What it does

Clear period averages

See your average HRV over the last 7, 30, 90, 180 and 365 days, with the date range, days with readings and number of readings shown for each.

More years, no paid limit

Expand to two, three, four years and beyond, as far as your available Health history goes. Partial coverage is labeled clearly.

Optional personal streak

Choose a fixed HRV target and see how many days in a row your daily average was above it. A zero streak shows as 0, and days without data show as unavailable.

Transparent sources

See which sources contributed readings and filter by source. Days with only one reading are marked as limited coverage.

Works without an account

Use the full app as a guest. Once your readings have synced to your iPhone, the charts work offline.

Privacy in plain words

Health readings are read from Apple Health and processed on your iPhone. Averages, streaks and your HRV target are planned to stay on the device and are not uploaded to us, to our account service or to our iCloud storage. Apple Health remains the source of your readings. Read the full privacy policy.

Questions

Can I download WatchHRV now?

Not yet. WatchHRV is in development for iPhone. This page describes what is planned; download details will appear here once the app is actually released.

Do I need an Apple Watch?

No. WatchHRV reads compatible HRV readings already stored in the iPhone Health app. An Apple Watch is one common source, but it is not required when compatible data is available. HRV kept only in another company's app, and not written to Apple Health, can't be used.

Which HRV measurement does it use?

Apple Health's heart rate variability (SDNN) readings, in milliseconds. Daily values are the average of the readings available that day, and period cards average those daily values.

Will I need to pay for anything?

No. ALL FEATURES ARE FREE. An optional supporter subscription ($0.99/week, $1.99/month or $19.99/year in the US) will remove ads and automatic signup reminders only. Final prices will follow the App Store listing and may vary by region.

Is WatchHRV a medical app?

No. It shows trends in your own readings and an optional personal target. It gives no diagnosis, recovery score or medical advice.
